Joekai Sends National Day ‘Patriotic Message’ to Liberians -Says Liberia’s Stubborn Woes Deserve Unorthodox Approaches
MONROVIA: As the Unity Party is hosting its first celebration of Liberia’s National Day under Joseph Boakai’s presidency, it seems some key stalwarts are not inclined to leave the messaging with the National Orator who may not be a mainstream devotee, and more so an independent mind who could go awry. A couple of them are therefore taking off time in advance to send out their own perspectives of the national status as is under their era. Josiah F. Joekai, who arguably is the most reform-zealous stalwart amongst President Boakai’s apologists, has already put his version of Liberia’s 177th Independence Anniversary message in the public space. Notably, the Civil Service Agency’s boss is calling on his fellow country people what they should expect under the Boakai administration in terms of its style of governance: tackling the country’s intractable social, economic and political woes by using even unorthodox approaches. The full text of his rhetorically fiery July 26 Celebration Statement is on Page 2 of today’s edition of The Analyst.
