Quality Education Is Panacea for Brighter Future -Pentecostal Preacher Tells Graduates

A senior pastor of the Christ Center of Praise (CCOP) located in New Kru Town, Pastor Lawrence Nimely, has stressed the need for quality education in the country to provide a better and civilize environment and future for the children of Liberia.  The prelate poi9nted out that quality education n is the panacea for a brighter future for the younger generation and the country.

He made the statement when he served as commencement speaker at the first graduation program of the City of Glory International School System located in Caldwell New Georgia.  Pastor Nimely said the world over is in dying need of not just education, but good and quality education.

For quality education to be achieved, he said it requires the collaboration of school authorities, teachers and the students themselves who are the direct beneficiaries of the venture.

He furthered that a good education system in every society requires the schools to be proactive and well structured, and with healthy environments to ensure that students are focused.

He therefore called on every school in the country to train its teachers as well as pay them adequately to demand the full attention teachers in impacting knowledge and skills onto the students.

According to him, when teachers are well trained and paid adequately, they will focus on the activities of the classroom and ensure that the students are given quality education which help to prepare them for better future leadership.

The Pentecostal Cleric at the same time urged parents to be supportive to the educational drive of their children. “It is incumbent upon every parent to support the drive of our school going kids to provide them a suitable learning environment,” he said.

Also speaking at the program, the proprietor of the City of Glory Pastor, John Corpuh, Jr., said quality education for Liberian children is the bases on which the City of Glory international school system was established.

He promised parents that the school will t will ensure that the goal of the institution is realized.

He also disclosed that students are given keen attention by instructors of his institution as a means of building a solid foundation for kids in every aspect of their academic journey.

He further disclosed that the City of Glory International School system will offer vocational courses next school year for children to be equipped before getting out of high school.
