Weah Congratulates Trump on Inauguration -‘I am inspired by the message of hope,’ He Says

MONROVIA – There is something about to be like a parallel of history on the horizon of politics in the return of Donald J. Trump to the White House that delights adherents of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC). Trump and his supports claim they were whisked off of power by the force of leftist US media propaganda fanned by the Democratic Party despite his productive stewardship in his first term but is now back in power because the American public deciphered the scandal. CDCians think similar fate awaits their political leader, George Weah, who they say like Trump were doing very well in first term but was dethroned with propaganda and mischief in 2023 and could be back in 2029. An apparently elated Weah is one of several eminent persons who swiftly thanked Trump after his swearing-in ceremony yesterday. The Analyst reports.

Former President George Manneh Weah has promptly tendered words of congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America.

In a release sent out barely three hours after the swearing-in of Trump in Washington D.C., Coalition for Democratic Change political leader said Trump’s story of “his remarkable comeback as leader of the Free World demonstrates the power of resilience and hard work, as well as the American people’s embrace of his agenda for their country”.

He added that the strength of the American democracy – including the peaceful transfer of power between political parties – has helped shape governance around the world, including here in Liberia.

“Our shared history and the U.S. continuous contribution to the growth and development of Liberia has positively impacted our nation and region,” the former Liberian Chief Executive said, adding, “I am inspired by the message of hope of the new U.S. President and the priority he places on world peace.”

Weah said it is his expectation that America’s global leadership under the Trump Presidency would make the world a better place.

“Congratulations, President Trump!” the release concluded, apparently feeling assured about the possibility of his comeback like Trump in 2029.

Though Weah did not say it explicitly, his Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweah hinted on a possible scenario in his Facebook post which came also immediately after Trumps’ inauguration.

Tweah wrote: “Today, a U. S. President, who was largely ousted by media bias and antipathy and whose economic performance bought his ticket back into the White House, is being Inaugurated as 47th President of the U. S. A.”

Then he said, “Y’all Hello oo, our Liberian people!!” as if to say “That’s is a possibility also in Liberia in 2029”.
