MONROVIA – As major contenders in the presidential race continue to avail themselves to speak on critical national issues, the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) has announced that its Standard Bearer, Mr. Alexander B. Cummings will today, Monday, May 1, 2023, speak to the nation on trending national issues of concern leading to the general and presidential elections slated for October 10, 2023.
According to a press release issued by the CPP yesterday, Mr. Cummings will speak from the Headquarters of the party on 19th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia and will among other things, will be speaking from the perspective of recent concerns about Liberia’s governance and prospects for a secured and brighter future of the country.
Though there has not been any information on the specific topic or issues to address, Cummings may likely speak on the party’s preparation towards the election especially on the prospects of naming his running mate as soon as possible now that Mr. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Standard Bearer of the Unity Party did his last week Friday, the ongoing biometric voter registration which has entered into its second and final phase in the 9 other counties, among others.
The businessman turned politician has been one of the consistent critics of the government to highlight governance and other related issues such as corruption, insecurity, unemployment, the high cost of living, among others.
Besides inviting the press, both local and international at the program, the release said stalwarts from the CPP and other stakeholders will be present.
