CPP Investigates Missing Rally Funds -Calls on LNP to Speed Up Investigation

MONROVIA – In the wake of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) recently calling on the Ministry of Justice to launch an investigation into missing funds meant for the just-ended December 17, 2022 “We tiya suffering” peaceful rally, the CPP says it has launched an internal investigation into the disappearance of the missing funds.

According to a December 28, 2022 CPP press release, the missing funds were reported by the CPP Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Martin Kollah, to have been stolen by his driver by the name of Simeon G. Davis.

“The CPP immediately reported the matter to the attention of the Liberia National Police, for investigation and appropriate action and we await a response. We urge LNP to handle the matter with the utmost urgency so as to bring the alleged culprit(s) to justice.

“The CPP urges anyone having knowledge of the missing funds or the whereabouts of Simeon G. Davis, to kindly contact the CPP Secretary General, Mr. Aloysius Toe,” the release signed by CPP National Chairman Musa Hassan Bility stated.

It can be recalled that the CPP on the eve of the December 17, 2022 rally held a press briefing to inform the public about the missing funds.
