Though thousands of miles away, former Liberian journalist James K. Dorbor and his nurse wife, Mrs. Patricia M. Dorbor had every reason to smile this month when their daughter, Gertrude Dorbor, was amongst thousands who graduated during the 99th Graduation Program of the University of Liberia in 2018. Gertrude earned a Batcher of Arts degree with major in Sociology and minor in Anthropology from the college of humanities.
Meanwhile, the couple has extended unqualified thanks and appreciation to everyone who assisted their daughter in every way during her checkered academic sojourn.
Tears rolled down the cheeks of humble Gertrude during the graduation day reception on December 3, when she said words were insufficient to express gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Dorbor as well as everyone who assisted toward her success.
