10 Deserving Students to Receive Scholarship from Charity Organization -Several Schools and School Kids Targeted for Other Supplies

About ten students are expected to benefact from scholarship from the Liberian charity organization, Passionate Hands Give Back, which is also providing academic and other supplies to schools and children.

The Executive Board Member of the group, Roosevelt A.K. Woods, on Friday, October 4, 2024 officially launched the “Nourishing Minds, Feeding the Future School Feeding Project Phase #1” and indicated that schools that are earmarked to benefit from his organization’s initiatives include Gwee town Public School, Nyehn Public school, Christ Evangelistic School, Kingdom Christian, Gbotee R. Peabody Foundation School.

Other are Foko Jubilee, Child Wisdom School, Early Memorial Foundation, EL Shadai Children Reading Center, Reader Foundation Institution Kingdom Christian Academy, Christ Evangelistic school system, Christ Arena School System and l the Chris Geor Academy.

Passionate Hands Give Back is a non-For-Profit, non-Political and Charity Organization established primarily to give back to society, particularly the less-fortunate individuals and communities through the provision of feeding, medical supplies, shelter and clothing.

This organization was founded by a group of Liberia philanthropists currently residing in the United States of America with country offices both in the USA and Liberia.

Since its establishment in 2023, Passionate Hands Give Back Incorporated has reached over 6000 vulnerable individuals, including women and children, providing them with essential support, care, and empowerment.

Speaking at the official launch of the initiative, Mr. Woods disclosed that within the shortest period of their existence, they have extended their initiatives and programs to several communities not only in Montserrado and Margibi counties but also Grand Bassa County.

“We’ve been able to reached major cities and town including Kakata, Brewerville City, Peace Island Community, Buchanan Street, Rural Montserrado, Paynesville, New Matilda, Vomoma house community among others,’’ Mr. Woods further disclosed.

He added: “Today marks a significant milestone in our endeavors to intensify and expand our outreach and support to the most needy and vulnerable communities as we officially launch our ‘Nourishing Minds, Feeding the Future Project Phase 1 in Lower Margibi County.’’

He said recognizing the devastating effects and impacts hunger places on children’s ability to learn, focus, and succeed in their educational endeavors, the group would provide nutritious meals to 14 kindergarten and elementary schools across rural Montserrado and Margibi Counties, specifically in the Districts of Careysburg, Todee, Johnsonville Township as well as Scheiffelin Township respectively.

“As part of our support, 100 students from each our beneficiary schools will each receive a book bag containing a set of copybooks and other educational materials beginning next month, November 2024,’’ the charity’s Executive Board Member said.

On behalf of the Executive Board of Directors, Founder and Supporters of the initiatives, Mr. Woods, announced that they would be awarding scholarships to 10 deserving students with excellent academic performances in all subject for the Academic Year 2024/2025.

“To this, we have instructed our Country Office to immediately begin the process of vetting those students that will benefit from this gracious initiative,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Woods extended his profound thanks and appreciation to all of their donors, particularly those in the United States of America, the vision bearers of this noble institution, the Executive Board of Directors, Country Team and all well-wishers for their enormous support and contributions in making our dream a reality.

He used the platform to appeal to all compassionate Liberians, both at home and abroad, the Government of Liberia, National and International NGOs, international partners, including UN Agencies, the Swedish and US Embassies and other friendly Nations to help support his organization.
