MONROVIA – Unity Party (UP) Political Leader Joseph N Boakai has reacted to the assassination attempt on the life of former Chief Justice Gloria Musu-Scott, expressing sympathy to the Justice and her family for the loss of her daughter in the process.
Writing on his Facebook page, Ambassador Boakai said, “As I sat there listening to Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott detail the horrific account at her residence, I am reminded of the enormous tasks we have ahead of us, to take bold and decisive actions that will send a very clear message to all and sundry, regardless of who you are.
He maintained that he is troubled by the wave of reports of gruesome acts of barbarity characterized by untimely deaths in the country, noting “My spirit is troubled by the barbaric, and inhumane act that led to the untimely death of a promising young lady, Charloe Musu, Gloria’s daughter right before her eyes.”
The UP standard Bearer said “This rescue mission is no child’s play, and it requires all hands on deck.”
He then extended his deepest sympathy to Justice Gloria Scott and all those who have lost a family member or friend in such mysterious circumstances, emphasizing “Your time to get justice is at hand.”
