The Vice President of Liberia, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard -Taylor has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by the University of Costa Rica. The award was received at the Leadership Summit on Growth and Sustainability, organized by the Commonwealth University- London Graduate School.
The Summit took place in the city of Dubai, the UAE from March 26th to 29th, 2019. The Leadership Summit is one of the biggest global platforms which witness the convergence of leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs. The Leadership Summit provides training sessions in various fields including, Leadership and change, positive team building, economic and business transformation, etc.
In her brief remarks after receiving the award, the Vice President thanked the organizers and professors for the knowledge impacted and challenged her fellow colleagues to use the knowledge and skills acquired in enhancing the quality of leadership across the world. Madam VP then reminded delegates about the inspiring words of the late Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful tool we can use to change the world”.
The Vice President was also asked to present at one of the sessions on the Topic: Growth and Sustainable Development in Developing Nations, a topic she presented excellently based on her training in economics and finance. The Summit featured more than 200 global leaders.
