MONROVIA – Former Maryland County Superintendent Senator J. Gblebo Brown, concluded his re-election appreciation tour across the three electoral districts of Maryland County, in Barrobo statutory district Town of Big Jaye, Wujah Administrative district on January 7, 2025. During the official program held in the Town Hall of Big Jaye, in Wujah administrative district, the Maryland county lawmaker used the occasion and called on the commissioners of the three districts in Barrobo to be steadfast in considering reconciliation as the best tools of reuniting the people of Barrobo district in maintaining the peace of Liberia.
According to Sen. Brown the local leader’s involvement in building the peace of every nation is cardinal and cannot be underestimated. The statesman also cautioned Barrobo Statutory District Superintendent Hon. Winston Blayon and his cohorts to serve as the team lead in championing the cause for peace and reconciliation of Barrobo district unity.
Senator Brown said he has nothing against anyone who might have campaigned against him during the October 10, 2023 elections held in Liberia there by describing the past elections as the rights of anyone. He used the appreciation ceremony to call on the people of Barrobo District not to hesitate in reaching out him and outline any development they need in their district. According to the senator it was not an easy task for the people of Barrobo during the country’s most recent elections for them to leave their own son John Tiah Nagbe a defeated senatorial candidate, narrating that even if one person casted a single vote for him he believed that the entire district of Barrobo voted for him.
Brown in furtherance called on the people of Barrobo to share with him their good developmental and leadership ideas they would share with their son J. Tiah Nagbe if he had won the election. According to the senator, after election it is about time for everyone to put aside their political difference to see reason in building their district.
Brown who also serves as the chairman of the senate committee Rules Order and Administration reaffirmed his commitment to constructing a modern school for the residents Big Jaye Town, to ease their burden. The senator narrated that the construction of the school will start as soon the blue print of the school is ready the building will start immediately. He explained to our Maryland county correspondent that the institution will be part of his first set of legislative projects to put smile on the faces of the citizens of Big Jaye Town. He said Big Jaye will be the first Town to benefit from his first legislative project in Barrobo statutory district before going to other parts of the district.
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Senator Brown donated one million Liberian Dollars to the fish women in Harper City, to help improve their businesses. He also did the groundbreaking for the construction of a modern bus stop for the students of William V.S. Tubman University. Senator Brown also told the citizens of Barrobo district that he has started engaging the right authority for the names of those who went through the head count since this government took over to start receiving their salaries. Brown at the sometime called on the citizens of Maryland County to keep calm noting that change in government is a gradual process.
