River Gee County Senator Conmany B Wesseh has congratulated former Vice President Joseph N. Boakai, Rev. Dr. Luther Tarpeh and the new corps of officers who have been given the mandate to lead the Unity Party for the next six years, pledging his continuing loyalty and support to the Party and all courageous decisions and actions that will truly rescue Liberia.
The Senior Partisan thanked former Chairman Amin Modad and his outgoing team for their service to the Party and country.
In a congratulatory statement released on his social media platforms on Saturday, July 30, 2022, the most senior and prominent member of the Unity Party from River Gee County said: “while slowly absorbing the momentous events of the Unity Party Convention of July 27, 28 and 29, 2022 held in Gbarnga, Bong County and the fruitful outcome thereof”, he thought to appreciate Partisan Modad and others whose formal services in the Unity Party were now terminated following the past tumultuous months.
He noted Modad’s seamless handing over and calling for the sharing of useful experiences with the new leadership that was produced by the Convention.
Additionally, Senator Wesseh congratulated the Rev. Dr. J. Luther Tarpeh and other partisans who have been given the mandate to lead the Unity Party for the next six years and wished them God’s blessings of wisdom, humility and courage.
The respected Senator expressed thanks and appreciation to all partisans of the Unity Party for being peaceful and holding a successful Convention, and also congratulated Partisan Joseph Nyumah Boakai for receiving yet another trust of UP partisans to serve as their standard-bearer, praying for the Good Lord to guide him on the “right decision-making path always”.
The River Gee County Senior Senator reaffirmed his loyalty and support to the UP and anticipating courageous decisions and actions that will truly rescue mama Liberia.
He described the Unity Party National Convention that was held in Central Liberia Bong County as peaceful and transparent. Senator Wesseh is encouraging UP partisans and other political party’s members and leaders to always remain peaceful and patriotic as they collectively work together aimed at restoring the pride of mama Liberia.
Senator Wesseh, a well-known pro-democracy advocate and peace promoter, believes that his Party is setting a good example for local and national leadership changes.
The Veteran Senator who played a major role during negotiations for the Accra Peace Agreement and a noble signatory to that agreement is currently serving as a leader or ranking member of key Senate Committees such as the Joint Legislative Modernization Committee, Foreign Affairs; and Defense, Security, Intelligence and Veteran Affairs.
