Rousing Welcome to Cape Mount -As Cummings opens another ANC office in C’Mount

On his trip to the Western Liberian County of Grand Cape to open another office of his party, the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) received a rousing welcome from members, supporters and well-wishers of the party. The ANC leader and entourage visited Grand Cape Mounty County on Saturday on, February 22, 2020, where he opened a second in Tieni Town, Teewor District which was.

A release from the party disclosed that the infrastructure hosting the second office for the party was given to the party through a kind courtesy of one of its strong female partisans in the County.

A release said while its Political Leader, Mr. Alexander Cummings and a team of partisans were in the county for the one-day event, they also held meetings with the people and county leaders, followed by a sports match between ANC Cape Mount and ANC Bomi.

“This is part of the ANC’s restructuring and mobilization efforts across the country as we count ours to build and expand the party, the release said.

Cutting ribbon to officially declare the office opened, the ANC political leader thanked the people for their support.

He acknowledged the resilience of the people, mainly saluting partisans and supporters of the party for being smart and tough in the face of the turbulent times being faced in the country, saying that there is hope, the Liberian people will prevail and things will get better.

Also asking for their continuous support especially as the country goes towards the midterm senatorial elections in October 2020 and presidential election in 2023 to transform Liberia, Mr. Cummings also called on the county to work with the ANC’s new county leadership inducted during the program and to support the county Chairman, Mr. Tonia Fahnbulleh and his team in Cape Mount.

He promised to visit the county again and assured them of his return to the county to spend more time with them during his county tour later this year.

During the program, the mobilization and operations team conducted mass recruitment as several citizens of Cape Mount trooped to fill out their membership forms and take their ID cards. ANC continues to be the fastest growing political party in the country. “We welcome every citizen irrespective of tribe, ability, status, gender, etc. Many thanks to the great people of Cape Mount for making the ANC their home,” Mr. Cummings said.

Meanwhile the ANC has accordingly said it is grateful to have committed partisans, who work day and night, with their sweat, blood and tears to build this movement. “We do not take this for granted. This is why, at the ANC Everybody is somebody,” the party averred.

The Political Leader and team, the ANC indicated, will go back to Cape Mount as part of Mr. Cummings’ County Tour during the course of this year. “As already scheduled for March, he will continue his Nationwide County Tour in Lofa next month, the party said.

In a related ANC news, officials and members of the ANC’s Disability Council and the Party will be officially be opening the disability Council’s today, February 24,  at 11:00 am at the Alternative National Congress’ Headquarters, Airfield Shortcut, 24th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia.

The event is made possible as a result of the ANC’s recognition of the rights of persons with disabilities in political and public life. The Chairperson of the Disability Council of the party, Amb. Daintowon Domah Pay-Bayee, a Politician and Advocate for the “Missing Voices – Persons with Disabilities Especially Women, Youth and Children ” is inviting, partisans, supporters, well-wishers and members of the public to grace this auspicious occasion.

“All Women Groups, Youth Groups, Partners, Donors, Members of both Print and Electronic Media in the interest of the advancement of the lives of Persons with Disabilities in the spirit of leaving no one behind and Institutions of Persons with Disabilities mostly especially are Officially Invited,” Madam Pay-Bayee said, saying the

ANC’s membership is open to ALL citizens irrespective of disability, status, gender, tribe, etc.
