Presidential Tour Resumes -Weah & Entourage Hit Montserrado Following Lull

MONROVIA – Back in 2021, the 24th President of the Republic, Dr. George Manneh Weah, emptied Monrovia, the seat of Government, into the countryside – a massive move of a Liberian president and government never seen in decades. First from Bong County and to Nimba, the President and public servants caravan and supporters wended their way into the distant, hard-to-reach southeast before taking unto the western and northwestern parts of the country. Then COVID-19 intensified with double blows that led to the discontinuation of the president’s nationwide tours. With much of the pandemic receding into near evaporation, the President resumes his movement around the country, zeroing on Montserrado County which is so far the last on the list.
