Pres. Weah Shares Christmas Gifts -Gives to Patients, Less Fortunate Liberians

As part of tradition by national leaders during the year end festive seasons, President George Manneh Weah through his Special services Coordinator at the Ministry of State has identified scores of public health facilities, the less fortunate people and orphanage homes across the Country.

Our reporter following incident said the presidential gesture Tuesday, December 22, 2020 distributed by the Coordinator of Special Services, Mr. Toe Wesseh was extended to the TB-Annex in Congo and other beneficiaries, including the CH Rennie in Kakata, Bomi Hospital, and the Phebe Hospital in Bong County as well as the Redemption Hospital in Montserrado.  Also benefitting were the Handicap international among others, Mr. Wesseh further disclosed

At the TB-Annex in Congo Town, food and non-food items were first distributed. According to our reporter, 50 bags of twenty five Kg bag of rice, Two bags of butter beans, and soup kind at the value of $LD 100,000 among others were donated.

Delivering the items, Mr. Wesseh said the gesture by the Liberian leader is his way of extending Season’s greetings to his people, mainly the less fortunate community across Liberia, indicating that it is always good to give back to the society

According to him, the President deemed it prudent to share with his people in his drive to put smiles on their faces, especially during this festive season.

He disclosed that the exercise is also being carried out in other rural and urban communities by First Lady Clar Marie Weah and the Chief of Protocol at the Execution Mansion, Ambassador Nora Finda Bundoo respectively.

President Weah’s special services coordinator at the Ministry of a state used the occasion to call on all Government officials to see the festive season as a way of giving back to their respective communities in order to ensure that they ably follow the good example of their Leader.

In a happy mood, the Assistant Director of Nursing the TB Annex Esther K. Saah, thanked the Liberian leader for the annual gesture, and promise that it will be given to the direct beneficiaries.

“I want to say thank you to the President for his kind gesture and we will make sure that these items are used for the purpose so intended,” assistant Nursing Director. Saah stressed.

She said the T. B. Annex currently have about twenty seven patients and they are doing well to help keep them healthy and safe as part of their professional contribution to the Nation.

At the same time the JFK also benefited from the gesture in the tune of L$150,000 for soup kind, one hundred bags of 25kg rice and many others

Meanwhile other recipients of the gesture extoled President Weah, and promise to ensure that items reach the intended beneficiaries.
