Pres. Weah Appreciates Liberians -For Enormous Support during UNGA Visit

MONROVIA – After attending the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations where on September 22, 2022 he addressed world leaders about the progress and challenges facing Liberia during his administration’s five years of governance, President George Manneh Weah has expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the people of Liberia, both at home and abroad, for being steadfast, prayerful and supportive as he and his entourage made the case for Liberia at the United Nations.

Making the assertions in a special message of thanks and appreciation following his participation at the UNGA in New York, USA, President Weah showered praises on all Liberians during his visit to the UNGA.

“As I return home, along with my entourage, following a very successful trip to the 77th UN General Assembly in New York, I want to thank all Liberians for the enormous support accorded my delegation.

“It is always an honor representing the country at international gatherings, particularly at the United Nations, where I hold with great respect, the public trust to make Liberia’s case.

“In doing so this year, we highlighted the progress that we have made over the years, and the challenges we are tackling, while also stating the country’s position on pressing global matters.

“But I would be remiss not to particularly thank Liberians in the U.S – the leadership and members of Liberian organizations; the leadership and members of the CDC, friends, and well-wishers – who turned out in their numbers to render their utmost approval. Basking in their support was a moment of national pride, for which we remain grateful.

“I am also grateful to all my compatriots back home and around the world who kept us in their prayers and wished the delegation well.

“It’s good to be home and getting back to the tasks at hand. Thank God for traveling mercies. Amen,” the Liberian leader stated dutifully.
