MONROVIA – National Secretary General of the Liberia People Democratic Party (LPDP), Mr. D. Eric Kpayea, after a decade of devoted service across various capacities, tendered in his resignation as both National Secretary General and member of the Party effective immediately.
Mr. Kpayea said his decision not resign from the party comes after intense internal disagreements regarding the party’s policy direction and after careful consideration of the trending circumstances beclouding his membership in the party.
Mr. Kpayea, however, believes this voluntary resignation is essential to enable me to pursue a more independent approach to national political discourse, which is imperative at this juncture. “My commitment to advocating for good governance, democracy, and civil liberties remains unwavering,” he said.
“Mr. Chairman, I sincerely extend my heartfelt gratitude to the grassroots supporters of the Liberia People Democratic Party, whose unswerving dedication, sacrifices, support, and respect have been invaluable throughout our democratic journey,” he stated in his resignation, thanking the party Chairman Mr. D Wah Hne Jr. as he wish the party well in all its future endeavors, a letter to the party concluded.
