Liberians Won’t Accept Fraudulent Elections -Cummings Sends Caveat to Pres. Weah

In the wake of the increased massive duplication of voters registration cards, as well as mounting concerns that staffs of the National Elections Commission are colluding with some senatorial aspirants to commit fraud in the ensuing midterm senatorial elections, the Political Leader of the opposition Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) and the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, has cautioned President George M. Weah that the Liberian people will not accept a fraudulent result from the upcoming December 8 midterm Senatorial and the Representatives bi-elections.

Mr. Cummings made the disclosure on Saturday September 19, 2020 at the headquarters of the ANC during the Primary and endorsement Ceremony of Mr. Fubbi Henries for District #9 by-elections, created as result of the death of Representative Munah E. Pelham in June this year.

The CPP and ANC political leaders said if President Weah presides over any fraudulent election in the country he should get ready for the attendant consequences from the Liberian people.

“I want to say this to our Government that this massive fraud that they are trying to put on the Liberian people, the Liberian people will not accept that. We will not accept a fraudulent election, so we are going on record today. We are saying to President Weah and to of all his corrupt CDCIANS we will not accept a fraudulent election, and if he does that, he should get ready for the push back from the Liberian people, if they try to put that on us,” Mr. Cummings cautioned.

Mr. Cummings observed that the December 8, 2020 election is the beginning of the process of making President Weah a one-term President. He said for President Weah become a one term president the Liberian people should be honest in making decisions and register to vote.

Meanwhile, Mr. Cummings has assured partisans that with the Alternative National Congress Headquarter being located in District #9 clearly implies that the ANC candidate will win the upcoming Representative by-election in District #9.

“Today is a happy day for us; today we are here to send the next Representative to the National Legislature, you all know that our party Headquarter is in District #9 and I also live in District 9; so there is no way we will not win District #9. We need to send the incoming Honorable to join our other Honorables to carry the flag for real change in Liberia,” Mr. Cummings intoned, adding that to change Liberia requires new leadership and in order to do that, the Liberian people should elect the right people.

“I keep saying that we cannot continue to do the same thing and expect different results. If you want change in Liberia you need new leadership and we need to vote Mr. Fubbi Henries to go to our National legislature to change our country,” Cumming stated emphatically.
