MONROVIA: Hot on the heels of the celebration of his 79th birthday celebration at his Paynesville Rehab residence on Thursday, November 30, 2023 where Liberians from all walks poured in to honor the incoming President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai departed the country the following day along with his wife Kartumu Y. Boakai, and arrived in the United States of America on Saturday.
According to a dispatch from the Office of the President-elect, immediately following his arrival in the USA, the incoming President of Liberia began his engagements with stakeholders.
While in the United States, President-Elect Boakai is expected to hold consultations with stakeholders in Liberia’s political process and also meet with people who want to invest in Liberia.
“He will also meet with the Unity Party in the United States and Canada to thank them for the massive and unwavering support given the Unity Party Alliance in the elections,” the dispatch said.
Already, the Diaspora Rescuers will on December 9, 2023 @ 5PM ET, converge on 4625 Street Road, Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, to celebrate the Unity Party Alliance November 14 victory.
While President-elect Boakai is away, Vice President-Elect Jeremiah Koung will conduct the affairs of the Joint Presidential Transition Team in close consultation with the Unity Party Alliance.
