Defeated candidate Gbehzohngar M. Findley have congratulated Senator-elect, Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence have conceded defeat and Congratulations to Senator-elect, Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, and the peace-loving people of Grand Bassa County on the occasion of the re-election of Madam Lawrence to the Senate; urges the senator-elect to prioritize genuine peace and reconciliation for a better and inclusive Grand Bassa County.
Amidst heated see-saw battle during the election results, Nyonblee finally emerged winner for the race in Grand Bassa County.
Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence, a Liberty Partisan and stalwart of the CPP is incumbent winner of the race with 2, 2476 accounting for 42.01%, over the CDC’s Gbehzohngar Milton Findley who acquired 20, 346 amounting to 330.03%.
But as protocol dictates, Gbehzohngar Findley acted as usually expected, conceded defeat and congratulated the winner, and the political leader of his Party, President George Manneh Weah and his supporters.
“My profound gratitude to H.E. President Dr. George Manneh Weah, the Mighty CDC and Team Findley for the support and policy-driven campaign,” Mr. Findley said in his concession statement.
He said, “Our desire for a Peaceful, United, Reconciled and Prosperous Bassa is unshaken while we remain engaged with our people going forward. I call on my supporters, sympathizers and well-wishers to acknowledge the outcome of the process for the development of our beloved county.”
He urged his supporters to accept the outcome of the election, adding, “Every election must have a winner.”
Mr. Findley indicated that he eternally grateful to the people of Bassa for their decision, and call on the Senator- elect Karnga Lawrence to prioritize genuine peace and reconciliation as we continue to cherish the idea of a better and inclusive Grand Bassa County.
