BlueCrest Launches Scholarship Drive for Liberians

Amidst the stringent economic constraints in the country which has caused many Liberians to drop school, the BlueCrest University Liberia has launched a scholarship scheme for Liberian students under the title “Let’s Make Liberia Great”.

In a virtual conversation with journalists in Monrovia, the President of the BlueCrest University, Dr. Umesh Neelakantan, said the BlueCrest University in Liberia is striving to support the interest Liberian students annually through a scholarship scheme tiled, “Let’s Make Liberia Great” (LMLG) Scholarship.

Dr. Neelakantan announced that “Let’s Make Liberia Great” scholarship scheme which he said, worth more than 130 thousand United States dollars. He disclosed that the scheme is intended for undergraduate students who are interested for pursuing for Bachelor of Science degrees in information technology (BSc) and bachelor of business administration (BBA).

The President of the BlueCrest University, said the initiative is to maintain absolute consistency of the motto of the institution, ‘’Education for Life”, and to also heartily support the Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and development.

Dr. Neelakantan noted that students interested should have successfully passed their 12th grade WAEC or equivalent international exams of 2020 and 2021. He said the scholarships can be available to a student during the course of his / her four years of academic tenure at BlueCrest Liberia.

“LMLG Scholarship test will be conducted on January 22nd, 2022 at the BlueCrest University Liberia campus in Monrovia” he disclosed.

He indicated that Students who are interested to avail this opportunity have to formally register, on or before January 20th, 2022 at BlueCrest Liberia campus in Congo town, opposite CDC headquarters.

Dr. Neelakantan stressed that education is the fundamental key on which the respect and progress of a person is measured.

He noted that higher education is a major milestone in a student’s bid for a career to make his/her livelihood elevated, noting also that higher education is important to the core, noting that the fundamental backup of a country rests on the fundamental status of nurtured interests, process and progress of education.

The BlueCrest Liberia University has been approved since 2014 by the relevant authorities to operate in the country to offer unique higher education programs in Liberia.

The institution is greatly recognized in society for proving the best information technology learning portfolio.

He added that the higher education institute provides quality status for every interested student and authenticates qualified professional competition.
