MONROVIA – As the need to cater to the wellbeing and welfare of the less privileged people in the society gains attention and traction, A Liberian charity and Humanitarian organization, the Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation (ALLF), , on Saturday, December 10, 2022 commenced its series of goodwill gesture to needy section of the society with the timely and well received assorted donation to the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home in the New Matadi Community in Monrovia valued at nearly Eighteen United States Dollars(USD18K).
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Financial Officer of the foundation, Mrs. Lydia Kannah – Lansanah said, the “donation begins the 2022 annual humanitarian services to put smiles on the faces and save lives of hundreds of destitute and less fortunate Liberian Children during this festive season of Christmas in Liberia”.
Mrs. Lydia Lansanah said the exercise was sponsored by their business, the Master Cleaning and Consulting Services based in Minnesota, the United States of America and the assorted Christmas donation to the Mother Victoria Thomas included rice, oil, clothing, shoes, educational materials, exercise books, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes as well as toys and candies.
Speaking at the occasion while serving as Keynote Speaker, former Deputy Minister of Internal and Postal Affairs for Administration, Mr. Soko V. Sackor, promised to actively get involved in public services mainly through the association with other like-minded Liberians who see the development of children as the future leaders of Liberia, speaking highly of the development of the girl child through proper education. As a show of good faith to the development of orphanage children mainly, the girl child, Mr. Sackor made a commitment to provide a parcel of Land in Bong County, his county of origin, to be used by the Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation sorely for the development of orphans and less privileged children in Liberia, especially with emphasis on the girl children.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of ALLF, Mr. Armah Lansanah, who unlike others who do not disclose the sources of items they present to the end users, extended thanks and gratitude to a number of persons locally and internationally who made the donation a success including Dr. Quinton de’ Alexander of the We Dream in Color foundation based in Chicago, the United States for a donation of a barrel of assorted items.
He praised the local ALLF team in Liberia as well as local and international contributors for all of the jobs well executed to ensure that the first in a series of 2022 Christmas free donations was successful.
Mr. Lansanah said similar donations valued thousands of United States Dollars will shortly be given to two other orphanage homes in Margibi County. Nearly five years ago the Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation has been providing annual humanitarian assistance in Liberia to Thousands of less fortunate and underprivileged children mainly in Montserrado County.
Responding to the humanitarian gesture on behalf of the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home, the son of Mother Victoria, Pastor Jutomu Willie Suah showered praises and thanks in appreciation of the 2022 annual Christmas goodies for the kids who are appreciative and in need of such a gesture.
The Man of God said he was not surprised to see that one of the sons, Armah Lansanah, who grew up in the New Matadi slum Community will always return to give back to his own community to lift orphanage children out of poverty and prayed that God will continue to bless also his wife, Lydia Lansanah who stands as the backbone to Armah.
