“We Will Do Things differently” -Cummings Vows; Extols Global Youth Movement

Alternative National Congress (ANC) political leader and standard-bearer, Alexander B. Cummings, seems not to be allowing the legal wrangling within the CPP to take a toll on his desire to reach out to the citizens, especially those in the leeward counties. Mr. Cummings during the past week has been engaging the citizens of northern Liberia’s Bomi County where he went to induct into office the local leadership of the ANC Global Youth Movement (GYM), and used the opportunity to inform Liberians that the ANC will do things differently to ensure real change in the country.

“We will do the real work, make the difficult decisions, make the right choices and do things differently. As I have said many times, Liberia will not change simply because we wish for it to change – we must do the work to change Liberia,” Mr. Cummings affirmed during the GYM induction ceremony in Tubmanburg.

Disclosing outcomes of his Bomi County engagements Sunday, the ANC political leader said he participated in several activities organized by GYM, one of the many youth groups supporting him and the Alternative National Congress (ANC) in general.

“They have reaffirmed their commitment to our efforts to make Liberia a better country for everyone. I am happy that the young people, women and men who came from different parts of Bomi County to participate in the GYM activities, were exuberant and motivated about the real change we are working to achieve in Liberia.

I reassured them that I, ANC, LP and other Liberians with similar desire, will never let Liberians down. We will do the real work, make the difficult decisions, make the right choices and do things differently. As I have said many times, Liberia will not change simply because we wish for it to change – we must do the work to change Liberia,” Mr. Cummings averred.

Cummings said he was especially thankful to GYM and its mastermind, Kawii “Duke” Jayjay, the people of Bomi County and to all Liberians who are joining the ANC in their effort to do things differently.

“Let us continue to recruit more Liberians to join us, regardless of who they are or what their political views are. We must work tirelessly to make them realize that we are offering REAL CHANGE. I am also thankful to Bomi County Senator, Hon. Edwin M. Snowe who made a brief stop to greet us,” Cummings noted.
