VP Taylor Receives Int’l Award

Liberia’s Vice President Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor has been honored as a Global Ambassador of 2021 by the Panache Global Entertainment United Kingdom.

According to a press release from the office of the Vice President and signed by Mr. Solomon A. Ware, Sr, Director of Press and Public Affairs in the Office of the Vice President, The Chief of Staff to the Vice President George T. Nimely recently received the award on behalf of the Vice President at the 8th Annual award night held in the UK.

“This outstanding humanitarian award is in recognition of your outstanding achievements, immense, selfless, and dedicated contributions, and your humanitarian commitment to your community within and globally,” organizers of the award said.

The event, which took place Friday, October 29, attracted several dignitaries, celebrities, business promoters, and politicians from and around the globe and lots of business networking.

The release said while receiving the award on behalf of the Vice President, Mr. Nimely thanked the event organizers for considering the Vice President for such an award while promising to convey their message to the Liberian first female Vice President.

Mr. Nimely, upon his return to Liberia, then officially presented the awards to the Vice President on Monday, November 8, 2021.

In response to the award, the vice president said: “I am very grateful to you for considering me for the award as Global Ambassador of 2021. The fact that my hard work has been recognized instills in me the confidence to work to the best of my abilities in the interest of my people”.

This year’s event was organized to honor selected nominees who had selflessly contributed in one way or another to support their communities during the pandemic period.
