US Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on VP Koung -Highlights Diplomatic Relations Between Two Countries

United States Ambassador to Liberia, Mark Toner, Moday, October 7,2024, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung at his capitol building office on Capitol Hill.

During the visit, Ambassador Toner highlighted the long-standing diplomatic relations between the US and Liberia, committing the US Government’s support to the ARREST Agenda to address the socio-economic challenges facing Liberians.

The US Ambassador emphasized that American investors are exploring opportunities to invest in Liberia to expand the private sector and create more jobs.

He singled out agriculture and tourism as major areas for investment that can spur rapid economic growth and development.

In response, Vice President Koung commended the US for its continuous support to Liberia, stating that the US is Liberia’s biggest partner.

He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening existing relations based on mutual interest.
