UL Commences Academic Activities Today -Starts with Midterm Exam Scheduled for 23-27 October

LIBERIA: The administration of the University of Liberia (UL) announces the resumption of academic activities today, Monday October 23, after a week-long extension of election break.  Academic activities were suspended on 6th   October, 2023 for an election break occasioned by the 2023 Presidential and Legislative elections held on October 10, and the institution was to resume academic activities on October 16, 2023.

But on October 14 after polling when provisional results were being announced, the UL administration issued a press release extending the election break, stating that normal academic activities and regular work would not resume on Monday, October 16, 2023 as was previously scheduled. However, latest information issued the public for students, faculty and staff of the University has it that classes will resume today for the continuation of its normal academic and administrative businesses.

According to its latest release, the Administration of the University says the midterm exams previously scheduled for October 16, 2023 w3ill now be administered from Monday, October 23 to Friday, October 27, 2023.

“Adjustment to the semester’s schedule and the calendar for the 2022/2023 Academic Year necessitated by the prolongation of the electoral break will be made and published soon.” The UL release stated.

Accordingly, the release concluded that the Administration of the state-run University has expressed the pleasure to welcome back all students, Members of the faculty, staff and administrators on all of the four campuses of the University to continue its academic activities for the current semester.
