UCI Rejects Dirty Rice Re-Bagging Story -Says it is Proud to be Provider of Quality Rice on Market

MONROVIA – The management of United Commodities Incorporated (UCI) categorically condemns in the strongest term the information circulating on social media linking the company to re-bagging and supply of dirty rice on the Liberian market.

According to UCI, the information and photos of re-bagging of dirty rice were criminally and maliciously masterminded and doctored.

UCI describes the information as a fabrication and falsehood designed by unscrupulous individuals intended to blackmail the company and tarnish its reputation and credibility.

UCI is pleased to inform the public that it has never and has no intention to engage in any unscrupulous business practice that will endanger the health and lives of consumers.

The company’s warehouses are opened throughout working hours and are accessible to customers where they freely go to purchase their rice without any restrictions.

“This is a clear indication that UCI has nothing to hide,” the UCI said in a release. “Since the establishment of UCI in 2009, the company has been noted for importing and supplying high-quality grade rice on the Liberian market.  The company doesn’t have any history of selling dirty rice.”

UCI says it is proud of the record that its various kinds of rice are the best on the market, noting that the quality and taste of the company’s rice have placed increasing demand on the products by consumers.

According to UCI, all the company’s business activities, including rice importation, offloading of shipments, storage, and supply of rice, are done in keeping with best business practice and with the involvement of the Liberian government.
