TU Students Hail 27-Seater Bus Donation -Term Pleebo District Representative’s Intervention Redemptive

HARPER – To ease transportation inconveniences for students at the William V.S.Tubman University (TU), Maryland County District #2 Representative last Friday, February 14, donated a 27-seater bus to the university, leaving the students lavishing compliments on him.

At the official turning over ceremony of the bus on the University’s main campus, the Lord Mayor of Pleebo City Larry Geekor, who represented Representative Williams, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Maryland lawmaker to improving students’ mobility to and from students.

Mayor Geekor cautioned the students to avoid riding bikes with more than three persons onboard, emphasizing the risks associated with such defying practices.

He also advised the student populace to use the newly donated bus and the existing buses responsibly and safely as reliable transportation between Pleebo and Harper.

Also speaking also at the brief ceremony, Tubman University Associate Vice President for Student Management and Enrollment Services, Mr. David Hne Erskine, expressed profound gratitude for the donation.

“We are deeply thankful to Hon. Anthony F. Williams for his generous donation,” he said. “This new bus will significantly ease transportation challenges for our students, providing them a safer and more efficient means of travel.”

He said it was important that in addition to existing transportation system at the University, students would focus on their academic issues without worrying about commuting challenges.

The newly donated bus will join the two existing buses already providing transportation between Pleebo and Harper, further improving the options available to students.

Speaking in an interview after the formal occasion with a team of reporters, Mayor Geekor reminded the citizens about the recent groundbreaking ceremony aimed at transforming local infrastructure.

He noted that Representative Anthony F. Williams, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Works, has officially launched the rehabilitation of 34 kilometers of major feeder roads in Pleebo District.

He narrated that project is poised to significantly enhance free access, mobility, and economic opportunities for the residents of Pleebo and Maryland County.

When the rehabilitation of the feeder roads is completed, it will drastically enhance transportation for local residents, in providing smoother and faster travel across Pleebo City and other part adjacent.

The feeder roads will link previously hard-to-reach villages and neighborhoods, enabling better access to markets, educational institutions, healthcare services, and government offices.

The improved road network will ease the movement of goods and services, encourage local businesses to expand and attract who be investors.

He said farmers will be able to transport produce more efficiently, boosting the agricultural sector.

Most especially, the construction and rehabilitation efforts will generate job opportunities for local workers, contributing to both short-term and long-term economic growth in the district Geekor explained.

According to Mayor Geekor the road project will directly improve the quality of life for Pleebo residents. Easier access to healthcare and education will empower local communities, particularly in rural areas, by reducing travel times and improving service delivery. Citizens will also experience enhanced social integration, as the project will strengthen connections between diverse neighborhoods Larry maintained.

District Coordinator Mr. Standford Neufville, pointed out that a key partner in the initiative, emphasized the transformative potential of the road rehabilitation, noting that it will “lamenting that it bring relief to the people of Pleebo and Maryland County as a whole.”
