Steve Zargo Extols Pres. Boakai, Others -Says Celebrating Joint Anniversary of 4 Counties in Lofa is welcoming
MONROVIA – Living up to the tradition and culture of a true son of the Lofa soil, suspended Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) Commissioner General Stephen Jorgbor Hamadu Zargo has not allowed his current situation to place a damper on his appreciation of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s ongoing visit to his homeland to celebrate the creation of Bong, Grand Gedeh, Lofa and Nimba Counties.
According to the former Senator and former Chairperson of the Lofa Legislative Caucus, while he could not be present in Lofa to give his maximum support to President Boakai’s reconciliation overtures, he is however fully represented through official proxies from his office.
“I, former Senator Zargo, in behalf of my office, want to thank the President and Big Uncle of Lofa, H.E Joseph Nyumah Boakai; the Vice President, H.E Jeremiah Kpan Koung; the Lofa Legislative Caucus, and the Legislative Caucuses and Officials of Bong, Grand Gedah, Lofa and Nimba counties for ensuring a successful celebration marking the creation of the four counties, which became part of the Republic of Liberia sixty years ago,” he said. “While thanking His Excellency the President and delegations, I also wish to seize the moment to thank ALL of LOFA for the show of hospitality and the Lofa’s traditional goodwill.”
“I was fully represented at the events through my staffers in persons of Soriba Tamba, foreman for hospitality; Augustin Forkpayea Zaizay, foreman for publicity; and Wisdom Mawolo, head of media and outreach.”
Zargo continued: ““While circumstances beyond my reach may have kept me away, I was in direct communication with my team to ensure the overall good of the celebration. Once again, a big thank you to H.E. President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, the Big Uncle of Lofa. May God bless Liberia and save the State. Merry Christmas,” CG Zargo intimated.”
