PUL Expands HQ Fundraising Committee -Unveils Comprehensive Construction Plan Soon

MONROVIA – The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has announced the expansion of its Steering Committee for the construction of its National Headquarters.

The PUL says a comprehensive headquarters construction plan would be unveiled November 28, 2025, in a landmark event that includes a fundraising dinner.

According to a release, the event aims to engage dignitaries from government, political parties, the private sector, international diplomatic circles, civil society, and citizens in a bid to mobilize resources for the construction of the Stanton Peabody Media House.

To facilitate the coordination and execution of activities leading up to the fundraising dinner, the PUL has appointed a Programs and Planning Committee.

The committee, comprising 12 esteemed members, will report directly to the Steering Committee on Resource Mobilization and Partnership Building.

The Programs and Planning Committee members are:

  1. Mr. Hassan Kiawu, Chairman
  2. Mrs. Agatha Thompson Venn, Co-chairperson
  3. Mrs. Oretha Bundoo Seh, Secretary
  4. Mrs. Siatta Scott Johnson, Member
  5. Ms. Rose Stubblefield, Member
  6. Mrs. Zoquay Besolow Konneh, Member
  7. Ms. Vasta Tarlue, Member
  8. Ms. Florence Flomo, Member
  9. Ms. Dorcas Gboerreh-Boe, Member
  10. Mr. J. Korvah Beyan, Member
  11. Mr. Necus Andrews, Member
  12. Ms. Josephine Ogbodu, Member

The PUL said in the release it was optimistic that through unified leadership and collective commitment, the necessary resources would be mobilized to construct the National Headquarters, promoting high standards in journalism, professional ethical practices, digital innovations, and overall media development in Liberia.

The Programs and Planning Committee will collaborate closely with the National Steering Committee on Resource Mobilization and Partnership Building, chaired by Madam Estelle Liberty, to orchestrate and implement the fundraising unveiling dinner for the construction of the PUL National Headquarters.

This headquarters will serve as a vital foundation for promoting high standards in journalism, professional ethical practices, digital innovations, and overall media development in Liberia.
