MONROVIA: The Dean of the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Liberia, Associate Prof. Dr. Josephus M. Gray says he is overly gratified to be honored with top-notch performance award and the receipt of an international recognition from the distinguished Sharda University in New Delhi, India.
The distinguished award, Dr. Gray said, was presented to by Dr. Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor of the Sharda University of India in the presence of Dr. Yatendra Kumar Gupta, Vice Chairman, Sharda group of Companies and other top personalities including Deans, Chairpersons, Directors, Professors and faculty members of the institution.
The ceremony took place on 12 July 2024 at the institute’s world class auditorium during the official end of Sharda University two-week MDP workshop for faculty members.
While Dr. Ashok Danyani, the President for International Relations of Sharda Group of Companies and Sharda University, through Mr. Sachin Saini, Manager of the International Division presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Dr. Gray at Thursday’s program held at the Sinkor Palace in Congo Town, Monrovia, Dr. Gray said: It’s a privilege to be recognized by the authorities of such a great Indian university (Sharda University) of high academic standards and globally recognized. The Liberian diplomat and academician furthered, “I am pleased to be part of a team that strives for excellence in academic environment.”
Dr. Gray stressed that he is touched by the support of the hard working chairpersons and coordinators of the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Liberia, adding, “Teamwork makes the dream work; I trust that together, we’re achieving great things at ACS College.”
According Dr. Gray who is also Sharda University Ambassador to the Republic of Liberia, he is very grateful to everyone for the support to move our great ACS College forward for the greater good of the institution.
Dr. Gray used the ceremony to appreciate Sharda University authorities for the recognition, adding that “I’m committed to delivering high-quality work and continuing to contribute to the success of the institution and will do my best to bring pride to the University in my role as Sharda University Ambassador to the Republic of Liberia and as Sharda University Coordinator for West Africa.” He then expressed gratitude for the new task ahead of him to perform the added role.
Presenting the top-notch performance award to Dr. Gray, Dr. Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor of the Sharda University said: We’re incredibly grateful to have you on board.”
He continued, “Your consistent dedication to excellence sets a shining example for everyone on the team, and you have been very helpful in guiding Liberian students to study in India at Sharda University to acquire the higher education in several fields of studies; your willingness to go above and beyond to help your colleagues and fellow Liberians has not gone unnoticed.”
Dr. Khara further averred that Dr. Gray’s top-notch performance does not only meet but exceeds expectations, that his exceptional hard work and outstanding results consistently elevate the performance of Liberian students at the university, adding that Dr. Gray’s focus and dedication have immensely contributed significantly to the success Sharda in Liberia.
Currently, there are more than 80 Liberian students attending at Sharda University in India, while the school enrolled the highest number of foreign students in India, with students from about 96 countries across the world.
