NPP Holds 7th Biennial National Convention -To Elect New Officers, Formulate New Policies

MONROVIA –  The former ruling National Patriotic Party(NPP) has announced the holding of its 7th Biennial Convention slated for October 7-8, 2022 in Paynesville City Hall, Montserrado County for the purpose among other things, to elect officers with 4 year tenure to include the National Chairman, all Vice National Chairs and National Treasurer

According to a press release from the party and signed by its National Secretary, James Peter, the event will take into consideration, among other things, review achievements, works, programs and formulating new policies, reviewing financial and audit reports as well as reviewing administrative matters and the state of affairs of the Party.

To keep the partisans abreast of the event, the party released the itinerary to the public starting with the arrival and accreditation of delegates between 7-8 am and a grand parade follows between 8 am to 10 am while the opening session(Formality) will be held between 10-12pm. The General Assembly (Plenary Session, Reports) will take place between 3 PM to 4 PM and lunch will be served between 4- 6 pm.

The release also said on Saturday, October 8, 2023 the session will continue with the arrival and accreditation of delegates taking place between 7am and 8 am and the induction of the Election Committee will held between 11 am to 2 pm and election of officers, the main purpose of the convention will be held between 2pm to 3pm, followed by the announcement of the results by 3pm and 4pm.  The report further said that lunch is expected to be served 4-4:30pm followed by the induction of officers.

From 5 pm to the end, the convention will be looking at priority issues, reporting and reading of the resolution and delegates depart on Sunday, October 10, 2022.
