Minister Kruah Bags ‘Senior Counselor of Liberia’ Award -LNBA Says He’s Legal Luminary with “Indelible Footprints’
MONROVIA – The maxim ‘give him flowers while he’s alive’ was manifested recently when the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) awarded Labour Minister Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr. its prestigious “Senior Counselor of Liberia” epithet, a distinction reserved mainly for well-deserving legal luminaries who have left an indelible footprint in the annals of posterity.
The award was presented to Minister Kruah last Wednesday at his office by Cllr. Emmanuel Tulay, Sr., an executive of the LNBA, and Board Chairman of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC).
According to a Labour Ministry press release, the Liberian National Bar Association outlined Cllr. Kruah’s immeasurable contributions to the advancement of Liberian jurisprudence, recounting the Labor Minister’s distinct performance in the legal service over decades, especially with regards to how he has ably defended indigent Liberians and continues to provide humanitarian support to advance the educational quest of underprivileged Liberian youths.
The Liberian National Bar Association also praised Minister Kruah for rekindling the National Vacation Job Program which is aimed at providing economic sustenance for hundreds of economically-starved school-going children across the country.
In receiving the prestigious award, Labour Minister Kruah thanked the Bar Association for according him such a befitting honor, and promised to justify his recognition by his mother institution with renewed commitment in transforming Liberia for the greater good of all citizens, as enshrined in the ARREST AGENDA.
The Minister used the occasion to call on legal practitioners in the country to maintain the dignity and respect given members of the Liberian legal community.
According to the release, the Labour Minister’s selection by the umbrella body of all legal practitioners in the country comes hot on the heels of a special letter of recognition by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, singling Cllr. Kruah as the “Best Performing Minister” in transforming the Liberian Labour sector and accelerating the ARREST AGENDA of the Rescue Mission-led government.
Meanwhile, the senior management team, staff and employees of the Labour Ministry, through the Division of Public Affairs, have congratulated Minister Kruah on his remarkable achievements.
