Lofa Senatorial Aspirant Identifies With Lofa Muslims -Donates 100 Bags of Rice, Assorted Food Items

MONROVIA –  As Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan, Lofa county Senatorial Aspirant Momo Tarnuekollie Cyrus has donated a total of 100 bags of rice and other assorted food items to the Muslims communities in the Quadugboni and Voinjama Districts respectively.

The presentation exercise of these items took place on April 9, 2023 in Voinjama City, according to our reporter.

The Lofa County senatorial aspirant said the donation to the Muslim Communities in parts of Lofa County is his way of identifying with his brothers and sisters that are in the Muslim religion and who are citizens in the two districts during this period of national fasting, especially when they are having sober reflection and praying for the peace and prosperity of the country.

He maintained that the gesture is especially at a time when citizens are gearing up towards the holding of the 2023 Presidential and legislative elections.

 The Lofa county senatorial aspirant, during the presentation of the items, placed serious emphasis on the countless and massive support he received from the people of Quadugboni towards his senatorial bid in the 2022 by-election despite the fact that a daughter from that district was contesting.

Mr. Cyrus was quoted as saying, “the 100-bags donated  covers the Muslim Council of Lofa, major clans, sections and towns in Quadugboni, quarter observing the fast month and also including key interest groups within the district” Momo asserted.

Also speaking at the program, the Public Relations Officer of the One Lofa Movement for the election of Hon. Momo Cyrus, said that they are also in line with the series of appreciation visits that is carried on by Senatorial aspirant Cyrus in the county since the end of the 2022 senatorial by-election that brought Senator Joseph Kpator Jallah to the National Legislature.

Thanking the citizens for the support he received from them, the one Lofa Public Relations Officer Arthur Kowah disclosed that the appreciation visits by senatorial aspirant Cyrus have begun long in Salayea, Zorzor and now Voinjama Districts and will continue in the remaining districts in  Lofa county in the coming days.

Our Reporter who has also spoken with some beneficiaries of Mr. Cyrus’ kind gesture said recipients of the gestures expressed their excitement about the goodwill of the senatorial aspirant in these days of the holding of the holy month of Ramadan toMuslims residing in the county.

It can be recalled that Momo Cyrus, once contested the Lofa County 2022 Senatorial Election and pulled out an unimaginable and unimpressive number of people that voted for him. The citizens gave their support as means of showing or recognized that Momo Cyrus is the first aspirant that visited them and will be contesting the pending October 10, 2023 election.
