Labor Min. Kruah Effects Truce at Inspectorate Dept.

MONROVIA: Labour Minister Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah has finally resolved administrative misunderstanding which recently marred the official takeover by the newly appointed Labour Inspector General, Mr. Charles Brown, from outgoing Acting Inspector General, Mr. Darius Weamie.

At a brief reconciliation conference held yesterday at the Labour Ministry, the Minister of Labor clarified that Mr. Weamie had earlier been mandated by him to head the Inspectorate Division of the Ministry, but upon the appointment of Mr. Brown by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as the Inspector-General, Mr. Weamie has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector-General.

Minister Kruah then urged both officials to work together for the smooth conduct of the Inspectorate Division of the Labor Ministry.

In separate brief remarks, Messrs. Brown and Weamie, each thanked Minister Kruah for his leadership and fatherly reconciliatory move, and promised to work together in enhancing the effectiveness of the Inspectorate Division of the Labor Ministry.

Meanwhile, Labor Minister Kruah has revealed plans to ensure that all Labor Inspectors are uniformed, in a bid to avoid impersonation by unscrupulous individuals, a release signed by the Ministry’s Communication Director Jr. Kortu Nyamibo, concluded.
