Gwaikolo Family Expresses Gratitude -To Pres. Boakai, Others for Support to Rep Gwaikolo’s Home Going

MONROVIA: The family of the late Hon. Johnson N.Gwaikolo extends heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Liberia under the leadership of the President, H.E Joseph N. Boakai, Sr. and Vice President, Hon. Jeremiah Kpang Koung for their unwavering support to the family during the home going of Hon. Johnson Nagoon Gwaikolo.

In a statement released yesterday, the Gwaikolo Family also expressed thanks to the Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, members of the House of Representatives, both the 54th and 55th Legislature including the Protemp of the Liberian Senate, Hon. Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence for their support.

Also appreciated by the Gwaikolo Family for his role and support is former President George M. Weah Sr, and Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), fraternal organizations including the Freemasons and Lion’s Club of Liberia, as well as the Martha Tubman Memorial United Methodist Church and Liberia Annual Conference.

Similarly, the Gwaikolo Family said it is grateful to the Nimba County Legislative Caucus, the resilient people of Electoral District #9 and the loving people of Nimba County.

Mrs. Gifty Gwaikolo, the widow, further expresses deep appreciation for the outpouring of moral and financial support received during these difficult moments for the family.

The family acknowledges the efforts made to ensure Hon. Gwaikolo received a dignified state burial ceremony, particularly in his hometown of Zekepa, Nimba County.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Gwaikolo is profoundly moved by the thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds who traversed the St. John River on ferry and undertook lengthy journeys to stand in solidarity with the family during this period of mourning.

Reflecting on her late husband’s service, Mrs. Gwaikolo affirms his unwavering dedication to the Government of Liberia, recognizing his contributions with distinction.

The Gwaikolo family remains forever grateful for the love, support, and solidarity shown, which has provided solace and strength during this difficult time, a statement release has said.
