Foreign Minister  Nyanti Leads Delegation to Abuja Summit -Expected to Participate In Engagement to Foster Public-Private Sector Collaboration

MONROVIA – The Minister of Foreign Affairs Sara Beysolow Nyanti has arrived in Abuja to participate in the 54th Session of the Mediation and Security Council at the Ministerial Level, the 94th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers and the upcoming West African Economic Summit scheduled for June 20 – 21, 2025 as well as the 67th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government.

The summit, according to a press release, brings together key representatives from the West African region, both in the public and private sectors to discuss pressing economic development issues, foster regional cooperation, and chart path for sustainable development and growth.

Minister Nyanti was received at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by senior officials from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of ECOWAS and staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Abuja.

The delegation’s visit underscores Liberia’s commitment to regional collaboration and economic integration within West Africa.

During her stay, Minister Nyanti will engage in high-level discussions with fellow ministers, regional leaders, and economic experts. Key topics on the agenda include intra-regional trade facilitation, infrastructure development, digital economy initiatives, and strategies to combat economic disparities across member states.

The delegation will also participate in various side events aimed at fostering public-private sector collaboration, partnership and exploring innovative solutions to regional challenges.

The Liberian government has reaffirmed its commitment to regional integration and economic cooperation within ECOWAS and looks forward to productive discussions that will pave the way for a prosperous future for all West African nations.
