MONROVIA – The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has notified the Minister of Justice, Oswald Tweh, about its groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its new national headquarters in Congo Town.
In October 13, 2025 letter signed by party Chairperson Jango Kowo, the CDC wrote: “The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) extends its compliments and seeks to formally inform you of the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of its New National Headquarters in Congo Town on Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning at 8:00 A.M.”
According to Kowo, swarms of partisans, supporters and well-wishers of the CDC will assemble “to celebrate this great milestone in the aftermath of the illegal demolition of the CDC former National Headquarters while our appeals are still pending at the Honorable Supreme court of Liberia.”
He added: “We also wish to use this opportunity to inform you of the looting of several Properties, including a Vehicle during the eviction/demolition of the CDC former headquarters on August 23, 2025.”
The CDC said emphasized that the event marks a significant milestone for the party, coming after the illegal demolition of its former headquarters.
“The CDC notes that several properties, including a vehicle, were looted during the eviction process on August 23, 2025, and appeals regarding the matter are still pending at the Supreme Court of Liberia,” the letter to the Justice Minister said.
“We invite all partisans, supporters, and well-wishers to join us in celebrating this great milestone,” said Janga A. Kowo, National Chairman of the CDC. “This new chapter in our history underscores our commitment to our values and our determination to move forward despite challenges.”
“The CDC looks forward to the support of all stakeholders as it embarks on this new project,” the letter concluded.
