Bong Service Center Generates L$2,021,344.96 & US$980

 The Bong County Service Center through the Liberia Revenue Authority has generated the total revenue of L$2,021,344.96 and US$980.00 in the county.  County Service Center Coordinator Jefferson Gbaryan said the amounts were generated in the Month of November 2019.

Our Bong County Correspondent said the total end users accounted for 369, adding 257 of them are male, 100 are female and 12 couples. The Bong County Service Center was established by an Act of Legislature to delivered services to the people of the county and its surrounding counties.

Service Center Coordinator Gbaryan said out of the 369 end user, the center was able to get two million twenty-one thousand, three hundred forty-four dollars ninety- six cent in local currency.

Out of the amount, the Service Center Coordinator said the Ministry of Transport raised the amount one million two hundred sixty-one thousand nine hundred fifty-five Liberian dollars and six hundred and eighty United States dollars, follow by the Ministry of Education which generated two hundred and fifty-three thousand Liberian dollars, while the Ministry of Commerce generated two hundred thirty-one thousand, nine hundred Liberian dollars.

The Bong County Service Center boss further said since the establishment of the Center they, have not been able to render services like the ECOWAS Biometric Identification Cards, Adult Birth Certificates, Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, Forestry Development Authority, Printing of Drivers Licenses, Western Marriage Certificates and the Alternative Medicine and Divorce Certificates respectively.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gbaryan has called on the National Government to provide the Center with a Utility Vehicle in other to enhance the work of the service center at the community level and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to decentralize the printing of certificate in the county at the county Service Center for the consumption of the end users.

He also said he wants the Ministry of Mines and energy be added to the county service center for more income generation.

Mr. Gbaryan further wants allotment from the Ministry of Finance be on time so as to allow them as Coordinators be able to comply with their support Staff working at the County Service Center.

He added that they have not been paid for the past three months which is causing them a very serious problem.

He revealed that currently, his office lacks stationery, which is causing tough time for him when it comes to reporting in time.
