MONROVIA – Liberty Party Chairman Musa H. Bility says he will attend the militant day program of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change as a member of the opposition bloc in Liberian politics.
Chairman Bility who is also a Nimba County Representative was responding to an invitation letter to him by the CDC under the signature of National Deputy Secretary General Ronald Kekula Mends-Cole and with the approval of the Party’s National Chairman Atty. Janga A. Cole
In the letter of invitation to Representative Bility addressed to him as Chairman of the opposition Liberty Party, the CDC presented its compliments and officially invited Chairman Bility its ‘Militant Day Program’ scheduled for June 28-30, 2024 at the CDC Headquarters in Congo Town.
“Please be informed that the official program will commenced on Friday, June 28 at 10 a.m. at the same venue,” the invitation letter said, noting “The CDC Militant Day is constantly observed by the party in recognition of the efforts continuously exhibited by our partisans in promoting and defending the image of our noble party.”
The CDC requests the Liberty party chairman’s presence will be highly vital to the political relationship and knowledge sharing approach in achieving a concrete democratic pathway for “our beloved country”.
In reaction to the letter which he also published on his Facebook Page, the Liberty Party Chairman said, “As a member of the opposition, I will be there.”
Meanwhile, the Congress for Democratic Change says it will be commemorating “MILITANT MONTH” under the THEME “TRANSFORMING SETBACKS INTO GREAT COMEBACK” in appreciation of its committed members.
The Militant Month, the CDC noted, is set aside to celebrate the remarkable commitment and heroism of partisans who continue to intellectually defend the CDC and its image, saying that they include those who continue to propagate the ideas and philosophy of the CDC at various fora, towns, villages and every faucet of our societies.
“This month recognizes and appreciates those firebrand soldiers who continue to selflessly dedicate their all to the growth and development of the party,” the CDC in a statement emphasized, calling on all to join them from June 28-30,2024 at the National Headquarters of the mighty CDC in Congo Town.
The foremost opposition party also said “the mighty District #9 will lock horns with District #6 in the opening fixture of the Kickbalk Match while District #10 will go against District #4 in the Football Match.
Other activities, the party said, will include ludo game, checker game, chess game, scrabble game, nafoot, housekor, and parker pin amongst many others to spice up three days of sporting festival.
A statement by the party further indicated that its Political leader Amb. George M. Weah along with the legislators headed by the Caucus Chair Senator Nathaniel F. McGill, House Speaker J. Fonatti Koffa and Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah will lead an array of lawmakers to the “Militant Day festivities, while Chairman Janga Augustus Kowo along with Secretary General Jefferson T. Koijee will lead scores of party leaders to celebrate with partisans on this unique occasion in the history of the CDC.
