Many in Government have taken countless laurels bordering their persona, sterling leadership qualities and development performances. The country’s Vice President is at the acme of the list of such leaders. Time after time, national and international institutions following her works in the country identify her for her outstanding political, social, diplomatic and development interventions and achievements, and often decorate the VP with prestigious honors. This time, she is spotted t and vetted to be one of Africa’s Most Reputable Leaders. This is why the revered International Reputational Poll cited. The Analyst reports.
The Vice President of Liberia continues to sweep national and international laurels for what several local and international think thanks monitoring the country because of her superb and outstanding qualities in leadership. The VP was elected on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) from the National Patriotic Party constituency.
Since the takeover of state power by the CDC, Madam Jewel Howard Taylor continues to win the minds and hearts of many independent Liberians and international observers who often decorate her with prestigious honors.
She has attracted countless accolades from Liberians who admire her leadership qualities, human relations and itchy desire to turn the sorrowful stories of citizens, particularly indigenes, around.
She is one of few government officials who walk clean with heads up from sweeping allegations of human rights abuse, corruption and hate from the Liberian public, something some analysts consider to be queer in a country where citizens indiscriminately and often without evidence throw allegations around.
She first served as Liberia’s First Liberia under the reign of former President Charles Taylor, who was widely detested locally and international and his currently in jail after conviction by the International Court of Justice for crimes against humanity committed during Sierra Leonean’s civil conflict.
That she is currently not dinted by perceived and real corruption allegations is not a surprise because while her ex-human was being investigation for war crime and crimes against humanity, Madam Taylor was purged from all suspicions and allegations of complicity with that autocratic regime, particularly by the citizens of Bong County that was the epic center of the Liberian civil conflict.
She was elected as Senator for two terms by the people of Bong County with no protest from critics and human rights monitors.
Even as she was placed on the ticket of the Coalition in 2017, alarms about her link with her husband, Charles Taylor, were drowned effectively by her popular approval from the citizenry. The CDC won the elections with high margin while Madam Taylor was on the ticket.
It is not a surprise that the Liberian Second in Command is no small potato character-wise, as Liberian parlance puts, it in terms of her focus, integrity, quality as a leader and love for ordinary Liberians.
Having earned bundles of decorations and laurels from around the world, several countries, including her home country of Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana, Great Britain and many others, one of Africa’s social, economic and political think thank, Reputation Poll International, has singled out the Liberian Vice President as one of Africa’s Most Reputable leaders.
Reputation Poll International, which is a leading global reputation-management firm, which has released the 2020 list of 100 Most Reputable Africans.
The list features 47 women and 53 men from diverse sectors including, Leadership, Entertainment, Advocacy, Education and Business. The selection Criteria are: Integrity, Visibility and Impact.
