“The officials and members of the All Liberia Coalition Party hereby endorse the presidential bid of the Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai On … Grounds [to] ensuring that concerted and collaborative campaign strategy and rigorous poll watching efforts are formulated and implemented to guarantee sound victory in these runoff elections; [that] ALCOP’s manifesto must also be considered in formulating the governing policy of Liberia; and, [to] establishing a government of inclusion for the benefit of all Liberians.”
He said the ALCOP’s alignment with the UP is about the hopes and dreams of the people in a Unity Party led government, and added that as Standard Bearer of ALCOP, he therefore urges all partisans, supporters and sympathizers of ALCOP to work together with the Unity Party Leadership in your respective communities across Liberia to ensure that the Unity Party is voted into power in the November 14, 3023 runoff election.

ALCOP laid Its Principles
“Distinguished partisans and fellow Liberians, we, as the Standard Bearer of ALCOP, Are honored to mention our golden principles today as we to speak about our political party’s alignment and the values that guide us in our mission for the betterment of our country,” he averred, noting, “the foundation of our political manifesto stands on philosophies that drive the aspirations and needs of the people we represent.”
He then laid out the ALCOP’s manifesto believing in providing immediate solutions to governance challenges confronting Liberia, including human rights, freedom and justice; comprehensive social security services for all Liberians; and embarking on economic policy reforms and increasing investment opportunities.
He also mentioned “Increasing Liberia’s National Budget to 1.6 billion in three (3) years which entails advancing rigorous domestic resource mobilization; citizen-driven national budgetary framework; budget transparency and expenditure reporting; and national policy framework to stop exploitation, corruption and collusion in Liberia.
In highly spirited and exuberant tone, Mr. Kamara increasing Liberia’s National Budget to 1.6 billion in three (3) years also entails ending poverty and improving the quality of education in Liberia; sustainable national human capital development programs for our current generation of youth; alleviating poverty and hunger in Liberia through sustainable job creation and agricultural programs that must drastically reduce hunger among our people; enhancing policy framework on gender & crimes; and ensuring deliberate investment decisions into Liberia’s infrastructure development, including reliable, available and affordable power and energy across Liberia;
The ALCOP political leader furthered that if the national budget must be increased to that level there must be modern airport and aviation infrastructure available, construction and maintenance of a better transport infrastructure to include standard roads and rails networks throughout the country must be engaged; the country must invest in state-of-the-art technology for advanced communications infrastructure; and, reliable, available and affordable health care delivery system as well as safe water supplies must be available to all Liberians.
These values, he said, are the guiding lights for ALCOP’s policies that inform the party’s decision for alignment to any political institutions.
“They are not just about labels or limited in their benefits to a group of citizens, instead, they are about a vision for a better and more equitable future for all Liberians. They are also about giving every citizen the opportunity to realize the full potentials, regardless of their backgrounds, thereby creating a society that fosters growth, unity, peace, justice, shared prosperity and national progress for all,” he to the multitudes of ALCOP and UP partisans in the endorsement statement. .
Mr. Kamara indicated that as we move forward to the runoff election, ALCOP has gathered support through intensive consultations that have enabled the party’s leadership to generate brilliant ideas from partisans, party officials, traditional elders and prelates and noted these consultations are the major drivers of our decision for alignment.
“now, therefore, fellow Liberians and distinguished partisans, we, the officials and members of the all Liberia coalition party hereby endorse the presidential bid of the standard bearer of the unity party, Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai,” he noted, urging all partisans, supporters and sympathizers of ALCOP to work together with the Unity Party leadership in their your respective communities across Liberia to ensure that the unity party is voted into power in the November 14, runoff election.”
Amidst jubilation and enthusiasm, the ALCOP leadership presented the endorsement to the leadership of the Unity Party Alliance as represented by Ambassador Boakai on the platform.
Responding to the ALCOP position as contained in the endorsement statement, the Unity Party flag-bearer said we assemble here on this historic day to witness a noble and patriotic move that will embolden our effort to RESCUE this nation from the depths of degradation to which the current wasteful and corrupt conglomeration of incompetent and nonchalant characters have pushed it.
Rescue Wants All hands on deck
Ambassador Boakai said the endorsement was “… to coalesce our efforts, bind our energies, and get all hands on deck to salvage and restore what the past devastating six years of misrule have left of our dear nation.”
Wielding the adage of THINK LIBERIA, LOVE LIBERIA, and BUILD LIBERIA, The former Vice President further noted that the gathering was to close ranks on a task so germane to the forward march of this nation, noting, and “The significance of the occasion thus defies any underestimation.”
“By your decision, I stand so moved that I can bear witness that I see ahead a brighter future, a future filled with the air of healing and restoration. I can see a future of inclusion, wherein the children of Christians and Muslims, and of the various ethnic groups, working together harmoniously for the development of this nation,” he accentuated, and further stressed “I should spare no time therefore to stretch my arms in warm embrace and humble acceptance of your historic ENDORSEMENT of the tenets, precepts and concept of the RESCUE MISSION as heralded by your fraternal Unity Party.”
The Unity Party political leader however forewarned that this notably nationalistic endorsement is no easy undertaking, as the resolve on the other side of the isle to keep this country under the sway of malfeasance, thievery, and total mismanagement is no less strong. Let us thus brace ourselves, not allowing anything to take us unawares.
Ambassador urged them that “… we bind together to build a tolerant society, a society in which our diversity is a reservoir from which we draw inspiration to fashion a great and socially harmonious nation.”
The UP standards-bearer indicated that he sees the gigantic advances they will make, as one who has held such deep and broad connections with members of the respective ethnic groups and religions, whenever they evoke and lean on our commonalities.
Boakai Warned Against Divisiveness
According to him, if they go after the things that unite them, they will certainly discover that we are more alike than they are unlike. “Let us be mindful that division, strife and bigotry have never built any nation even an inch,” he warned.
Reflecting on memories of the past, he remembered the founding fathers and elders of the Mandingo ethnic group that predominantly comprises the membership of ALCOP. “As I skim through the audience, I am reminded of so many of your sainted forebears, who have departed this earth; who otherwise would certainly have been at the high table here this very minute,” he said.
The Unity Party Standard Bearer added, I have no doubt that my good old associates, now departed, ALCOP Founder Alhaji G.V. Kromah, Alhaji Losene M. Kamara and Sheikh Kafumba Konneh, all respected leaders in the National Muslim Council, Quardu-Gboni Paramount Chiefs Musa (Gboni) Kamara, and Musa (BBC) Kamara, among many others, should be looking down from Heaven and showering blessing on this gathering today.
“These fine and outstanding compatriots stood up and toiled for harmony and the advancement of this nation. Let us thus show them appreciation by our willing response to the call to national duty. These personalities paid the full price to land us at where we are today. Our coming together thus is somewhat a fulfilment of their dreams,” he remembered.
He assured members of ALCOP and the Unity Party Alliance, “I will always strive to do my part from this honored position you have so trustingly placed me,”
Closing his endorsement reception address, the former Vice President then said apart from politics, “we are uncles, aunties, nephews, and nieces. Both political parties have the same people who founded them; and from the same place too,” adding, “Hence we have a common heritage and a common national cause. Certainly, we can do this.”
