Sinoe’s Breakaway Kru 48 Sections Called Out -Accused of Fomenting Chaos in Tarjuowon, as TARGA Alerts Supt.  Nyensuah, Sinoe Lawmakers

MONROVIA – The Tarjuowon Global Alliance (TARGA) has called out the breakaway faction of the Kru 48 Section headed by Abraham Jarbah to desist from fomenting conflict and chaos in Tarjuowon Statutory District, Sinoe County.

TARGA has gathered that the Abraham Jarbah-faction of the Kru 48 Section, which has since broken off from the mainstream Kru 48 Section organization headed by Old man David Swen, has fined the newly inducted Tarjuowon District Superintendent Annie Pobleh a cow and is vowing to force the reinstatement of Andrew Jaysay as chairman of Tarjuowon People’s Association (TAPA).

Jaysay was suspended recently from office by the superintendent based on a petition from Tarjuowon citizens who accused Jaysay of repeatedly failing to conduct elections in nine years, whereby he was elected since 2016 to serve a constitutional three-year term.

TARGA says the Abraham Jarbah faction of the Kru 48 Section, which walked away from the main organization at the behest and the engineering of former Senator Milton Teahjay, has absolutely had no power and jurisdiction in leadership matters in Tarjuowon, describing Mr. Jarbah’s action against the Tarjuowon Superintendent as a dangerous meddling that lacks moral, political and legal bearing.

“We want Mr. Jarbah and his renegade Kru 48 Section to realize that neither the people of Tarjuowon nor Superintendent Pobleh recognize his reign of rulership.  Tarjuowon people have got no knowledge and no franchise in Mr. Jarbah’s organization, and Ms. Pobleh is only amendable to the President of Liberia who appointed her and the Ministry of Internal Affairs authority,” TARGA said in a statement syndicated Sunday.

TARGA observes that Teahjay, who has been struggling to be the Minister of Internal Affairs in the Unity Party Government of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, continues to stir conflicts, spewing frustration, against the President of the Republic by orchestrating a parallel executive powers to that of the superintendent of Sinoe County and the president of Liberia, and he is using Jabbah’s breakaway Kru 48 Sections leader as the cannon fodder.

The organization calls on Mr. Jabbah to stop playing to the gallery of the frustrated former Senator who, out of mischief could not demonstrate genuine partisanship to the Unity Party by contesting on its senatorial ticket in the 2023 elections, but is now stampeding all over Sinoe County protesting and downplaying all presidential appointments he does not personally sanction and approve.

As far the people of Tarjuowon are concerned, Mr. Jaysay’s term of leadership has since expired, for his breaking of promises to conduct elections since 2016. They Tarjuowon people support Superintendent Pobleh decision to uphold their aspirations for democracy, participation and elections called for by TAPA’s constitution.

It was the very Tarjuowon Statutory District leadership that called for elections in 2016, which Jaysay won and marked the birth of TAPA; it is the same leadership that is petitioned by the people who have been yearning for elections but to no avail because Jaysay has refused, thus justifying its actions against Jaysay.

Anything to the contrary is ultra vires, amounting to imposition, and will be treated as such.

Meanwhile, TARGA is calling on the Superintendent of Sinoe County, Hon. Peter Wleh Nyensuah and the Sinoe County Legislative Caucus to take note of the disturbing developments embarked upon by the breakaway Kru 48 Sections headed by Mr. Jarbah, and with the incubation of former Senator Milton Teahjay.
