PYJ Family Fights over Inheritance Funds -As Daughter Amy Spills the Beans

MONROVIA – Less than months after his death, Nimba County’s Godfather Senator Prince Yormie Johnson whose legacy will be politically contested tested at the polls this April seems to have a ton load of family excess baggage that could affect his strongman image evidenced by the ongoing family feud between his daughter Angel Amy Johnson, and her stepmom, brother and other extended family members on the other hand. The family squabble it seems boils down to who gets what from the PYJ dynasty left behind.

The Johnson family bickering came to the fore recently when Amy openly lamented over what she considered the unfair treatment she received from close family members who reportedly failed to honor the late Senator’s word.

“After my dad died, my uncles didn’t honor his word. They took what wasn’t theirs to take, disrespected his memory, and showed their true colors. The betrayal wasn’t just about actions-it was about breaking trust, dishonoring my dad’s name, and pretending to care when they didn’t.

“They stood by my father’s grave with tears, but behind the scenes, they were tearing down everything my dad stood for. Some betrayals only reveal themselves after someone passes, when truth no longer has a voice to defend itself.

“The betrayal came after death-because in life, my dad never saw the disloyalty that was waiting in silence,” Amy Johnson wrote cryptically in a recent social media post.

The crux of Amy’s angst, many believe, is reportedly about her dissatisfaction over the Ministry of Finance’s decision to deposit her late father’s three months’ salary to his wife instead of the late Senator’s children.

In her video lamentations Angel Johnson ranted how her stepmother, reportedly a Nigerian, forged a marriage certificate at the World Trade Centre on Carey Street to claim her late father’s properties.

Amy also claimed that her stepmother withdrew over US$80,000 from the late Senator’s Ecobank account and had the audacity to close the account on the same day in cahoots with her brother.

“Let the world know, let the world know say they conspired, let the world know say they want to kill me, let the world know say today if I die that my stepma kill me!! We pray the Government intervenes in whatsoever that is going on within the family!!” Amy Johnson lamented recently.

Capping off her lamentations with cryptic messages to her late father, Amy wrote: “Dad, I wish you were here. I wish you could see what’s happening, how much we are struggling without you. Life has not been kind to us since you left. The people you trusted have turned their backs on us, and those who should have protected us have only brought pain.

“We are fighting every day, but the weight is heavy. There are moments when we feel lost, abandoned, and forgotten. If only you were here to guide us, to shield us, to remind us that we are not alone.

“I don’t know if you can hear me, but if you can, please watch over us. Give us the strength to keep going. Because without you, the world feels so much colder, and the battles feel so much harder. We miss you, Dad—more than words can ever say.”

All efforts to contact the widow of the late Senator proved futile up to press time.
