At an occasion receiving huge numbers of partisans, the Political Leader of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), Dr. Daniel E. Cassell has termed as self-servant, those who he called ‘recycled politicians’ who he said  have brought hardship on majority of Liberian people and caused country’s backwardness.

Dr. Cassell indicated that the self-servant politicians only ascend to power to serve themselves and their families, without care for the people that entrusted power to them.

The Vision Bearer of the PLP made the statement Tuesday, August when he received more than 500 partisans.

He told the new PLP recruits that the party has come to provide the masses liberation from self-centered national leaderships, saying the PLP is where the voiceless have voice, where change is imminent with all the partisans’ hands on deck,  working to bring about the change that will better the lives of the people.

He observed that young people, including women and children are not able to go to school because of bad politicians, stressing that a true servant is a public servant who work for the people and do all what it takes to make the people live better.

“The People’s Liberation Party was established just because of you, the less fortunate, marginalized and the forgetting; you that they called good for nothing,” Dr. Cassell said, indicating that he has felt the same situation in time past and has a struggling history and has therefore come back to assist the people.

He said those joining the party have a message to those who are yet to join the people’s Liberation Party, and that the PLP is everybody’s home. “We need people from all works of life including other political party to come on board as the party unite in diversities,” he said.

Earlier, the new National Chairman, Mr. Tapleh E. Doe,  thank the new partisans for believing in the vision of the PLP, and said the party brings to the political landscape solution to Liberia.

He then called on all to work together for the success of the party.
