As the Government and People of the United States of America observed the 245th Independence Anniversary of that country, the Political Leader of Liberty Party, Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, on behalf of the party and in her own name, has extended warm felicitations and sincere best wishes to the Government and People of the United States on this auspicious occasion, praying that Liberia continues to benefit from America’s long experience as a sprawling democracy and a beacon light of hope in the world.
According to a Liberty Party Press Release issued July 4, 2021, the Liberty Party noted with a deep sense of appreciation, the long-standing relations between the United States and Liberia, rooted in the spirit of reciprocity and anchored on shared values.
Senator Lawrence, the Liberty Party press release stated, also extolled the pioneering role played by the United States in the maintenance of world peace and security, through different layers of diplomacy.
“As Liberia strives to improve governance and the rule of law in a democratic environment, Senator Lawrence expresses the hope that the nation will continue to benefit from America’s long experience as a sprawling democracy and a beacon light of hope in the world,” the LP Political release quoted its political leader as stating, particularly praising the US for accommodating thousands of Liberians who were uprooted from their homeland during Liberia’s civil conflict, some of whom have now obtained permanent residency.
