Investment Conference To Take Place In Monrovia -Liberia’s Plush Trade Potential, Business Climate showcased

MONROVIA – Liberia Investment Conference (LIC), a flagship economy-boasting programme of the Boakai administration, is slated to take place in Monrovia, involving private partners, including NOVA Africa Ventures and the National Investment Commission (NIC) . The conference, government sources contend, is the resource-rich West African nation’s 2nd annual biggest investment forum, which to be organized this year under the theme, “Partnering for Prosperity: Investing today for a Brighter Future for Liberia’s Youth”.

A release issued last week says the LIC is the country’s premier platform for high-level engagement between global investors, senior government officials, and private sector leaders.

Formally endorsed by President Joseph N. Boakai, and the National Investment Commission (NIC), the conference is recognized as a national priority in Liberia’s growth strategy, the release noted, adding, “This Gathering Serves Not Only As A Platform For Collaboration, But Also As A Symbol Of Liberia’s Readiness To Unlock New Possibilities, Attract Investment, And Build A Prosperous Future For Our Nation.

A release indicated that partners’ participation in the high-level conference would not only provide a platform for networking and collaboration, but also contribute to shaping the future of Liberia’s economic landscape.

The 2025 LIC features keynote speeches, sector-specific presentations, curated networking, and guided field visits to Liberia’s Special Economic Zones.

According to the organizing committee, the annual convening showcases transformative investment opportunities across agriculture, infrastructure, energy, mining, tourism, and other key growth sectors — offering participants direct access to decision-makers and Liberia’s most promising ventures.

“This conference will serve as a crucial platform to showcase Liberia’s impressive investment potential. Attendees will learn about various lucrative opportunities spanning multiple industries, and will have a chance to engage directly with government leaders, policy makers, and sector experts. This interaction is crucial for exploring the future of investment and development within Liberia,” the LIC organizing committee said further.

Calendar of Events

The 2025 LIC event will be officially graced by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai who will deliver the keynote address and outline his administration’s investment priorities and national development vision.

The National Investment Commission (NIC) and other senior officials will also present sector-specific opportunities in agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure, and more.

The event will as well include dynamic panel discussions, breakout sessions across key sectors including Agriculture, Energy & Mining, Manufacturing & Value Addition, Infrastructure & Construction, and Tourism.

These interactive sessions allow participants to ask questions, share insights, and connect directly with the policymakers and private sector leaders shaping Liberia’s economic trajectory.
