Against the rising alleged ritualistic killings in the country, a prominent politician from the opposition community has strongly detested the reported rise in what appears to be ritualistic killings and armed robbery in the country, thus threatening the country’s security.
The politician, Mr. Eric Olson, former Standard Bearer of the Grand True Wing Party (TWP) made specific reference to the latest incident in Caldwell, Outside, Monrovia, where a woman believed to be in her early 40s was discovered dead on the early Monday morning of September 27, around her residence with bruises all over her body.
This is the second lifeless body of a woman being discovered in less than two weeks. On Tuesday, September 14, the lifeless body of a woman was discovered on a beach in 17th Street in Sinkor. The unidentified woman attackers are still at large.
But Mr. Olson, wants the government to stop remaining mute on these alleged human rights violations that have the proclivity to threaten the peace and safety of all Liberians, our democracy and scare away investments into the economy.
In a statement Tuesday, September 28, 2021, the TWP former Standard Bearer is therefore calling on the Minister of Justice to deploy all security apparatus to bring these perpetrators to justice.
“These acts cannot go with impunity or linger unsolved”. He concluded by saying that every Liberian must enjoy equal protection under the Laws, and it is the National Government to solemn duties and responsibilities to guarantee Liberian’s safety.
