The team of Voices for Exile (VEX), a Liberian group from exile has donated more than US$1,000 towards the treatment of Leroy Archie, a Liberian activist who have immolated himself, saying that that the parent of Ponpon, Mr. Andy K. Ponpon and Mrs. Agatha Jappah, have already taken delivery of the amount in Monrovia.
Disclosing this on his Facebook Page, the Chief Convener of the group, Mr. Martin K. N. Kollie said the amount is an initial contribution towards the medication of the self-immolated, Mr. Ponpon.
“We are grateful to our supporters for making this possible. Thanks for reposing such trust and confidence in VEx. More blessings to you,” Mr. Kollie wrote.
“Archie and his parents are more than grateful for this timely intervention. We honor Archie’s heroism and self-sacrifice. May God heal and console him during these very difficult times. SHALOM,” Mr. Kollie indicated
Voices from Exile, is a pro-people democratic movement, and is for all Liberians. Kollie clarified that the group is not only here to advocate, but to also assist those in dire need, and inspire, or lost hope.
“Thank you once more. Special thanks to Madam Eve Lathrobe. You are indeed a patriot. VEx is here to protect the weak and defend the poor. A full financial report will be released ASAP,” he concluded.
