What was supposed to be a gratifying moment turned sad for The Analyst Family when “The Printer’s Devil” visited us on our Founding Anniversary yesterday and stole our joy. Banner headline we intended to print as our “23rd Anniversary” or “2 Decades Three” in the yesterday, August 13 edition surfaced in final print as “2 Scores Three”. When editorial mistakes are committed that way, print journalists call it “printer’s devil”–coined after the ancient Titivillus, a demon said to work for Belphegor or Satan introducing errors into the works of scribes. Indeed, it was a horrible error. And we regret and say sorry to our many fans and readers.
