Team Cummings-Brumskine Starts Work -Meets Policy Team, Reviews CPP Platform

MONROVIA: Liberians were given an insight of the readiness of Alexander B. Cummings to lead the country to prosperity if he wins the ensuing general elections when barely a week after naming his running mate, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine, the Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP)  led Madam Brumskine yesterday, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 to meet the policy team of the party to review the platform that will be released to the public soon.

The development which was made public by Mr. Cummings via a social media post, also contained information how excited he was and pulled encomiums on Cllr. Brumskine for some of the positive qualities she has which will assist him immensely to fix the country when elected.

“Earlier today, my Vice Standard Bearer Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine and I met with the Policy Team to review the CPP’s Platform to be released soon.

“She brings so much dynamism and a clear vision that is realistic and practical, especially for women and young people. Together, we will work to fix this country and change Liberia”, adding some his catchy mantra, “Liberia Deserves Better, Real Change is Coming, We Will Fix This Country”

The maiden policy meeting with his running mate and strategic policy team, according to some political pundits, is not far-fetched from some of the key promises the businessman turned politician has been telling the Liberian people that he will hit the ground running when elected President as he has over the time studied and understood some of the major problems confronting the country and the right solutions “to get the country working again”.

He has made some public statements of hiring competent Liberians who have the necessary education, competence, experience, skill set and passion to work for the control and bring the much-needed real change that Liberians can believe in and trust.

“We will look at Liberians from all sectors of our population and pick those who are qualified, have the right attitude and skill set, experience and passion to work for the betterment of the country.

“Liberia has a lot of resources and should not be poor. Our people are suffering because the government is stealing the resources that will bring change in their lives.

“When we get elected, we will stop the stealing and put money into sectors that will bring growth and development. We will give money to Liberian businesses, especially women to start their businesses to support their families, to send their children to school for a secured future

The meeting has been viewed as a radical departure from how people have assumptions of politicians who are seeking for the presidency yet have not been able to lay down clear-cut policy direction where they intend to take the country in terms of development.
